The latest X Series uses a cake strainer cup. Different from the conical filter cup which has only one large single hole, Cake strainer with larger bottom area , it can increase the powder layer area/area exposed to hot water, so it needs to be combined with a more uniform and relatively fast drip filter hole.

This Target's symmetrical drip filter combination of ring-shaped and hole-shaped filters can allow drip filters to present multiple and uniform states. Theoretically speaking, only considering the water discharge state, if the water is discharged too slowly, the coffee will be more likely to be over-extracted; if the water is discharged too fast, the coffee may be under-extracted. If the dripping filter holes are uneven, the liquid will pass through the trickling filter holes where the powder layer is weaker, further affecting the uniformity of extraction, so this can greatly improve extraction efficiency average problem.
