This Christmas, Pale Ink celebrate it’s first collaboration with legendary photographer Fan Ho. A limited Whiskey Barrel-aged Sugar-free Coffee Liqueur Edition.
The image “Hong Kong Venice, 1962 2011” is an examplar of some of the more abstract works of Fan Ho. The process often begins from his imagination, and experimenting on his old negatives using various photography techniques. The result transcends time, reality & dream, an invitation to indulge into the creators curated dream.
Between Reality & Dream:
Time blurs the line between reality and dreams. Pale ink uses Ethiopian roasted coffee beans, which symbolize reality, and Perfume Trees Gin, the spirit that captures the memories of Hong Kong beneath the white champaca trees – the dreams.
Aged for nine months in American rye whiskey barrels – Time, allows sufficient time for our gin and coffee flavours to synthesize and settle.
While inside the barrel, the liquid absorbs balanced flavours of rye cask such as dark chocolate and honey, woody notes.
